This weeks compilation is as follows:
Sales of video games always receive a seasonal boost around
Christmas, and games company SCi has just reported impressive
underlying earnings of £28.8m. SCi acquired Lara Croft
owners Eidos last year, and despite the growth, SCi still
looks cheap against French competitors Ubisoft.
The summer's record oil prices mean that interest in oil
exploration firms is strong, and exploration company Chacos
Resources presently looks cheap at 14p. Chacos have managed
to steer clear of politically-sensitive regions, instead
choosing the business-friendly climes of Colombia and Paraguay
for their current operations. Prospects look good.
Our final tip this week comes from the Mail's tipster,
Midas, who is recommending AIM-listed Oxonica. This nanotechnology
company has managed to make the transition from sci-fi to
real business, and currently has several promising products
that are at the beginning of their commercial lifecycles.
Good long-term potential.
